When visiting Chile, it is possible to experience sunsets with red rocks and stargazing in the Atacama Desert, wine tasting in the Maipo Valley for some of the top wine production in the world, geysers and glaciers that you can see in National Geographic, mountainous snow-covered peaks in Chile’s Southern Patagonia region, volcanoes in Chile’s renown lake district close to Puerto Varas, and tranquil beaches paired with incredible seafood in Chile’s vibrant colored coastal cities of Valparaiso an Viña del Mar. On this tour, we will not only dive into Chile’s divine gastronomy, but we will also see its world-famous scenery including deserts, mountains, volcanoes, geysers, glaciers, beaches, and vineyards.

Depart the US, flying overnight to Calama, Antofogasta Region of Chile.

DAYS 1-3: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA: San Pedro de Atacama is the desert town closest to the stunning desert scenery of the Atacama Desert. Our tour will go stargazing to see constellations impossible to see in major cities, take sunset tours of the Valle de Luna to see the picturesque landscape of the Atacama Desert, visit salt flats that extend as far as the eye can see where flamingos enjoy their natural habitat, see geysers at sunrise, and taste wines from one of the most unique wine producing regions in the world.

DAY 4, SANTIAGO: Santiago is one of the economic powerhouses of Latin America that has views of the Andes mountains. Our tour will enjoy historic highlights related to Chile’s modern and colonial era history. We will also visit a restaurant with one of the largest wine lists in South America to enjoy the absolute best Chilean wines that are not always exported abroad.

DAYS 5-6, MAIPO VALLEY, VALPARAISO & VIÑA DEL MAR: The Maipo Valley is one of the largest wine production regions in Chile. Nestled between the coastal breeze and Santiago, our tour will stop at some of the most significant vineyards in Chile’s global wine production. We will continue to Valparaiso, known as the Jewel of the Pacific, that is famous for its coastal scenery and funiculars to see the many different incredible views of the city. We will continue to Viña del Mar, known as one of the most relaxing places to visit Chile’s Pacific Coast, and enjoy renowned fresh seafood.

DAYS 7-9, PUERTO VARAS & CHILOÉ ISLAND: Puerto Varas is one of the capitals of Chile’s famous Los Lagos lake district region. Puerto Varas is one of the areas in Chile that had many immigrants from Germany. Today, it is possible to admire Germanic architecture in this region of Chile while also enjoying German cuisine and locally brewed German beers. Our tour will tour the lake district as well as see views of the snow capped Osorno Volcano. While in Puerto Varas, it is possible to visit Chile’s Chiloé Island, which is known for its myths, colorful stilt houses called palafitos, colorful wooden churches that are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and unparalleled gastronomy.

DAYS 10-12, PUERTO NATALES & TORRES DEL PAINE: Chilean Patagonia has some of the most spectacular mountainous scenery in the world. Our tour of Chilean Patagonia will be based in Puerto Natales and will take a boat ride to see Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers as well as visit the spectacular lookout points of Torres del Paine’s majestic scenery.

DAY 13: Depart from Punta Arenas, Airport.
